Saul Bass film titles

Recently at university we were shown a selection of Saul Bass' film titles. I had not previously seen any moving image work from him. I really enjoyed them and felt like I could watch them over and over again. But now, thanks to Movie Title stills collection I have seen them as stills. The most amazing thing to me is how effective the designs are in both formats, with every frame being a design in it's own right.

'You only need six typefaces.'

I really great interview with Massimo Vignelli from the Design Matters series with Debbie Millman. They discuss everything from type to process and inspiration. I think I could listen to his voice all day. Listen here.

Comedy Carpet

The new comedy carpet in Blackpool in my opinion, is simply amazing. So huge and yet so detailed at the same time. It will have to be put on the list of places to visit. Especially love how the mighty boosh get a special mention. http://www.comedycarpet.com/
